WorldStrides is a global leader in educational travel and experiential learning. During peak spring tour weeks in Washington, D.C., I helped launch the first-ever multi-channel experiential pop-up campaign designed to engage K–12 teachers and students already on the ground—capturing attention, stealing share from competitors, and generating qualified leads in the moment.
The big idea was simple: don’t be stationary—go where the crowds are. We deployed costumed actors as iconic historical figures (including Rosie the Riveter and Amelia Earhart) alongside WorldStrides street teams at high-traffic landmarks and meal locations to spark quick trivia challenges, photo moments, and real-time social content—then funneled educators into a contest entry path that connected them directly with a sales rep. Over three weeks, the activation delivered 7,500 in-person interactions, 26,000 branded items distributed, and 72 competitive sales leads booked.
